
SERKAN NIHAT
Serkan Nihat is a London based Film-Maker working in the British
TV & Film industry, and has been involved in many award-winning drama productions.
His credits include Taboo, Broadchurch, Call the Midwife and Grantchester.
He has directed numerous Fashion Films, Music Promos as well as corporate films for Barclays, Vogue, Virgin and Unilever.
In 2018 he won the Cannes Silver Dolphin award and in 2019 was a finalist in the Creative pool industry awards.
Born in Edmonton, North London Serkans introduction to cinema was from the Yesilcam era of Turkish cinema and the Neo-Realist films from Europe and Hollywood.
Having made the transition from Editor to Director his first short film ‘Serial Suicides’ opened the London Turkish Film Festival and his
short 'Footprints On The Moon' debuted at the East End film Festival.
He has just completed Apex starring Charlotte Riley and Tom Weston-Jones.
Serkan is a technically competent director and is experienced at manipulating cameras, lenses and lighting to create strong visual images which aids
him within the visceral world of fashion and beauty.
As well as a love for cinema, Serkan is obsessed with Baseball caps, Trainers, Rap Music and Sylvester Stallone Movies.
